| This instrument has 8 main lotus pegs, 2 chikari and 15 sympathetic pegs. The body is carved from a fine piece of toon wood and the head stock is jointed on with similar wood. Hemen is the most respected of Calcutta instrument makers, ans his sarodes have a sound like no other. Even this sarode, his least expensive, is a concert quality instrument. |
