#2 Calcutta Tabla Set

This is a very good tabla set from one of out select Calcutta makers.The #2 set includes a shishum tabla with a first-rate head, and a copper baya weighing at least 2 1/2 kilos. Often these drums will sound as good as a #1 set. The difference is in the quality of the wood and straps and the weight of the baya. We get Calcutta drums from Shyamal, Mridangam, and Mukta Das. Our selection varies from time to time, since these are all small operations. All tabla sets come with rings, covers and a tuning hammer.
