This is an improvement of the old Riyazmaster workhorse tabla machine. New features include better sound, programming capability, and different drum sounds. In addition to tabla there is now Pakhawaj, Duff, and Dholak sounds. Encased in a sturdy metal casing, it measures 6 3/4 by 5 by 3 3/4 inches and weighs 3 1/3 pounds. It works on 110 and 220 Volts or 8 AA batteries. There is an extra speaker output.
