Calling Educators, School Administrators,
Parents:
AACM brings Indian classical music into classrooms from elementary
to high school. Teachers can now arrange for the College senior
students to provide a basic overview of North Indian classical music
and culture through lecture demonstrations and workshops at your
school or college.
Lecture demonstrations are 50 minutes in length. Workshops are four
hours in length, and can be held either at your school or on the
AACM campus.
AACM will provide hands-on experience with instruments and vocal
traditions. Instruments include sarode, sitar, veena, sarangi, chandrasarang,
violin, cello, double bass, bansuri, tabla and other percussion
instruments. Students will be exposed to the melodies and rhythms
of a sophisticated classical music tradition.
Call or write for our special teacher's package which provides more
information on this program.
