Physical Setting of the College:
AACM
is located in San Rafael, California, one-half hour north of
San Francisco. San Rafael is a picturesque, friendly town in the
foothills of Mount Tamalpais. It is within a half hour driving distance
from redwood forests, unspoiled beaches and well preserved nature
trails. The College has spacious classrooms and concert hall, administrative
offices, a music store, and practice rooms.

Residential facilities are not available at the College at this
time, but housing is available in the area. Please contact the College
office for information to help find comfortable lodging near the
College.
Directions to AACM:
By car:
From highway 101, take the "Central San Rafael" exit and
head West on 3rd street.
Proceed approximately 3/4 mile until you see a Shell gas station
on your right.
Get into the left turn lane. West End Ave. will be on your left
and runs parallel to the street in front of you. The College is
at 215 West End Ave., the third house on your left and will have
a large blue sign and a stained glass window out front.
By bus from San Francisco:
Take Golden Gate Transit bus #50 or #80 to San Rafael
Transit Center (2nd St. and Lincoln).
Transfer to bus #22 Sauslito Ferry or #23 Manor/Fairfax, both of
which stop at Greenfield Ave., one block West of the College.
By bus from the East Bay:
Take Golden Gate Transit bus #40 from Richmond or
El Cerrito North BART station to San Rafael Transit Center (2nd
St. and Lincoln).
Transfer to bus #22
Sauslito Ferry or #23 Manor/Fairfax,
all of which stop at Greenfield Ave., one block West of the College.
