AACM is located about 20 miles north
of San Francisco in scenic San Rafael and is easily accessible by
car or public transportation.
Residential facilities are not available at the College at this
time, but housing is available in the area. Please contact the College
office for information on finding comfortable lodging near the College.
Registration:
Registration for classes takes place at the College office on or
before the first day of each session.
Classes are assigned and scholarship information is given at that
time. Tuition payment is due before the first class.
Fee Schedule:
Full tuition for 1 class per week is $300.
Full tuition for 2 classes per week is $425.
Full tuition for 3 or more classes per week is $550.
All prices are per 8-week session unless otherwise indicated.

$45 per session.
Tal class:
$60 for seven weeks
Mentor Program:
$45 (includes two private lessons with one of the senior students).
Sitar workshop:
$100 for four weeks.
Private lessons:
$45 per hour with one of the College's assistant teachers.
Work Scholarship - Students are welcome to participate in
the College's work scholarship program. This program allows students
to work in exchange for partial tuition.
Rental Instruments - Instruments are available for rent
or purchase in the College Store. Instrumental rental requires
a deposit. It is important to contact the Store before the beginning
of each session in order to reserve an instrument.
Youth Fees: Tuition for students 16 & under is $225
per session.
Accreditation:
Although the College is not formally accredited, students from Oberlin
Conservatory, Guilford, Goddard, Antioch Colleges, the California
Institute of the Arts, Wesleyan University, the University of Oregon,
and the University of Minnesota have gained credit from their study
at the College, and we are interested in the possibility of students
from other colleges and universities studying for credit at the
AACM. To this end, we are pursuing ties with music departments around
the country. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact
